PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: November 1, 2026
This policy explains what information pethocyn.com (“Pethocyn”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit the site, read our articles, contact us or place an order, and what we do with it. We keep it short and only list what the site really uses.
WHAT WE COLLECT
– Server logs. Like every website, our server records basic technical data for each request: IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure, and we do not use them to build profiles.
– Cookies. WordPress and WooCommerce set cookies that the site needs to work, for example to keep items in your cart, keep you logged in, or remember a comment you left. Analytics and advertising tools listed below may also set cookies.
– Contact form. When you use our contact form we receive the name, email address and message you enter, and use them only to answer you.
– Comments. If you comment on an article, we store the name, email address and comment you submit, plus your IP address and browser type to help detect spam. Your email address is not shown publicly.
– Newsletter. If you sign up for our newsletter, your email address is sent to Mailchimp, which manages the mailing list. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
– Orders. If you buy from our shop, we collect your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number and order details so we can deliver the order, handle returns and keep the records required by law. Card and PayPal payments are processed by Stripe and PayPal; we never see or store your full card number.
– Product reviews. Product reviews are collected and displayed through Judge.me.
SERVICES WE USE

– Google Analytics 4 helps us understand which pages people read, using cookies and pseudonymous identifiers. https://policies.google.com/privacy (opt out: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)

HOW LONG WE KEEP IT
Server logs are kept for a limited time and then rotated out. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to answer you. Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Comments stay until they are removed. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site still works for reading articles. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Email us and we will answer.
We do not change how the site works when your browser sends a Do Not Track signal.

The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
CHANGES
